A modern neurological department of the central city hospital was opened in Avdiivka. The project was implemented by Avdeevka Coke of Metinvest Group together with the Military and Civil Administration of the city. Metinvest investments amounted to UAH 5.3 mln. Chairman of Donetsk Regional State Administration and Head of the Regional Military and Civil Administration, Alexander Kuts attended the opening ceremony.
The building of the Neurological Department, as well as the main building of Avdiivka Central City Hospital, was inactive due to the military actions in the city. All medical services had to huddle in the old hospital building. City authorities, jointly with Avdiivka Coke and the leadership of the Central City Hospital, decided to reanimate the building of the Neurological Department. Indeed, under the conditions of war and permanent stress, a huge number of Avdiivka residents suffer from neurological diseases.
Avdiivka Coke carried out capital repair of the premises. Avdiivka Coke repaired the roof that was damaged by shelling, renovated the façade of the building, and installed new windows and doors. Paving slabs were laid out around the building and benches were installed. The plant purchased new furniture and specialized medical equipment: a defibrillator, an electrocardiograph, a medical aspirator, and an oxygen concentrator. With the support of the Military and Civil Administration of the city, the heating system was repaired, and hygiene equipment was purchased.

When business actively participates in the community’s life and finances not only its own projects, but also co-finances with local authorities, education and medicine projects, this brings such positive results. The next stage is a capital repair of the Surgical Department of the City Hospital. We are trying to create decent living conditions for the residents of Avdiivka so that they love their city and don’t want to leave it."
