Avdiivka coke plant comprises 12 basic and 18 auxiliary shops and service structural departments.
Coal charge for coking process at PJSC «AVDIIVKA COKE» is produced by two coal preparing shops No. 1, 2. Coal preparing shop No. 1 comprises coal enrichment plant, its capacity amounts to 6,4 million tons, where the run coal is enriched to the necessary coking parameters.
First in Ukraine at PJSC «AVDIIVKA COKE» the closed coal storages were constructed, they consist of 32 and 36 silos with the capacity 2,5 thousands tons each (except for silos No. 1, 2 at coal preparing shop No.1 whose capacity amounts to 2,2 thousands tons). Application of automatic weighers allowed to use the storages as the dosage separations to make coal charge. In order to simplify and force wagon discharge in winter.
Coke issue at PJSC «AVDIIVKA COKE» is provided by 9 coke batteries composed of four coke shops with general project capacity 6,87 million tons bulk coke 6% humidity per year.
Coke shops are equipped with dry and wet quenching plants (except for coke shop No.4, where dry quenching plant is only used). Quenching of coke with the help of inert gas (dry method) is a progressive ecological technology, and PJSC «AVDIIVKA COKE» is the first and one of two coke enterprises in Ukraine where it is used.
Six shops of PJSC «AVDIIVKA COKE» produce chemical goods from coal tar and coke gas, which are extruded at coal charge coking process. There are two chemical products recovery shops, two desulphurization shops (coke gas purifying from the hydrogen sulfide), as well as tar-processing and coke-pitch shops.
The purified coke gas (after extraction from it the chemical substances in chemical shops of the plant) is used to heat coke batteries, at heat and power plant to produce electric power, heat and technological steam to supply the production needs, and also a set of more small consumers. To produce steam and electric power at PJSC «AVDIIVKA COKE» thermal energy of burning hot coke is also used, which is utilized at dry quenching coke facility.
Capacity of heat and power plant is able to produce technological steam, thermal and electric energy at Avdiivka coke plant. Besides heat and power plant produces heat and hot water for habitants of Avdiivka town.
Auxiliary shops of PJSC «AVDIIVKA COKE» comprise structural departments to control raw material quality, products and production processes, repair and maintenance of coke and power equipment, to provide energy resources and transport.
