The fourth stage of the Donbass Motocross Cup was organized in Avdiivka with the support of Avdiivka Coke Plant of Metinvest Group and the Federation of Motorcycling in Donetsk region. A new motodriving track had been created in the Red Lake area for this purpose.
The competition toke place September 7th and was attended by professional riders, amateurs, veterans and quadrocyclists. 34 participants arrived to the Avdiivka mototrack from five Ukraine regions and Russia. The motocross visited over two hundred spectators from Donetsk and Avdiivka.
The first place among professionals was toke by Roman Morozov from Kiev. He is an European Champion and a multi-champion of Ukraine as well. Guests of Russia - Vladimir Kovalev and Artem Valyuh - got first place among the veterans in the category of small-displacement motorcycles. Pavel Kucherenko, a competitor form Donetsk and one of the organizers of the Cup won in quad bike racing. He received the winner statuette from the hands of CEO Avdiivka Coke Plant Musa Magomedov.
- As for me I got a lot of impressions. I hope that similar events in Avdiivka will become a good tradition - said Musa Sergoevich. –I have an arrangement with the town Mayer on the carting infrastructure development in Avdiivka.
- The track is spectacular with a good field of view. Championship aroused great interest among the audience. Therefore, we will develop the track to raise the Ukrainian Championship level,- said sportsman and organizer Pavel Kucherenko. - This year Avdiivka Coke Plant has 50th anniversary. So we decided to congratulate the Plant and dedicate our colorful sports show to the Plant and its employees.
