Avdiivka Coke Plant of Metinvest Group improved quality characteristics of coke breeze by increasing its homogeneity. Following the client's wishes the Plant has reduced percentage of fine-dispersed fractions of supplied products in size from 0 to 0.5 mm., and a new product named coke slime has been defined.
Coke breeze is the coke product in size from 0 to 10 mm that is the result of the coke screening and undersizing. Coke is used as a fuel and as a reducing agent in smelting iron ore in a blast furnace. More homogeneous coke breeze produces a beneficial effect on technological process and reduces consumption index.
New technical conditions development and introduction of “The Coke Slime “Pjsc “Avdiivka Coke Plant” at the Avdiivka Coke Plant have been finished. And it allows offering it as a separate product. At the present days the coke slime is delivered for Ukrainian and European customers.
