Employees’ health is the priority areas of activity at PJSC «AVDIIVKA COKE» that is included in Metinvest Group.
To maintain health, different diseases prevention and their definition in time the medical department was built more than 15 years ago, it is included in labor safety service.
The medical rooms are equipped with necessary devices, they sparkle sterility, every day the workers of the plant visit the medical department. Thus we make main emphasis on warning and prevention of diseases. Diseases prevention programs are implemented, regular medical inspection allows to find out occupational diseases.
Skilled specialists annually conduct preliminary (upon entering employment) and regular medical inspection. We conduct inspections to detect different diseases of workers on the early stages. Due to it there are no occupational diseases during these years at the plant.
Every year for each worker it is obligatory to make photofluorographic inspection as preventive measures, because we work in harmful and dangerous labor conditions, where there is the huge risk to come down with tuberculosis (people who come down with diabetes, chronic bronchitis etc.). Photofluorography is the check-up of workers who work in service sector at the plant.
In 2010 Medical department visited 72 510 of workers.
Medical department is equipped with the modern medical test equipment: there is the clinicodiagnostic laboratory, physical therapy cabinet, convalescent facility with salt chambers, solarium, trainer hall, phyto- and aromatherapy. And what is especially important is that there is the round-the-clock aid post to apply first medical aid, besides the medical assistant can arrive to the patient within five minutes.
In 2010 years at PJSC «AVDIIVKA COKE» the modern X-ray and diagnostic complex started working, this is the digital photofluorograph «Alfa», purchased within the framework of implementation of Renat Akhmetov Program against tuberculosis. It costs more than 450 thousand hryvnias.
Every year more than 3 thousand workers of the plant, their families and long-service employees revitalize in the boarding house «Sunny coast». The territory of it is always well-conditioned, there are a lot of flowered beds, green trees and fir-trees, swings at children’s playgrounds.
Three blocks that are equipped with modern amenities friendly open the doors for holiday-makers. In the rooms there are all the things needed for good rest: good furniture, hot and cold water which is supplied during all day.
There are three meals per day for the workers in the boarding house. Experienced doctors look after health of holiday-makers. In the library of trade-union committee of the plant it is always possible to take an interesting book or magazine for reading.
In 2010 in the boarding house «Sunny coast» 1645 workers of the plant, 1304 members of their families had rest, of which 1008 children.
The plant pays the workers and their children to 18 years old 70% of permit costs. 650 pensioners had rest in the boarding house having subsidized permit.
Long ago we regard a children health center «Danko» as the favourite rest place for children of workers of PJSC «AVDIIVKA COKE». Six meals per day, fresh air in the forest in Yasinovataya and therewith active and merry leisure are constituents of popularity of «Danko». Every summer children of plant’s workers and children from needy families have rest there. In 2010 approximately 500 children were revitalized in «Danko». The plant does the best to provide comfortable rest. With this purpose the sleeping blocks, dining-room were repaired, besides there are dancing and sports yards, child recreational facilities.
